To The Blue Sky. . .

Let's take a moment and talk about some bands. . .
Red Sparowes: Ummm hello? Sweet. Basically one of the best instrumental bands I've ever heard. The sounds and moods they create are chilling. In a good way. Zach hooked me up with these guys a while ago, and for it I have sworn him a life debt.
Circa Survive: Yeah, I don't know anything about these guys, but their music is pretty good. It really reminds me of The Moon Is Down era FSF. So, of course that makes it alright in my book.
The Album Leaf: It's really simple actually. Over the Pond = one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Hella: Yeah, basically the dumbest band name ever, but they are freaking good. It's like what The Dillinger Escape Plan would sound like if they only had a drummer and one guitarist. In other words, we're talking about some serious tech/spazzy instrumental stuff.
Dragonforce: HAHAHAHA! And these guys are serious too. That's why I really love em'.
Into the Moat: Ummm, I just got this disc today (used bin - $5.99) and I was listening to it in my car. Basically, it's really good. Let's rip.
Pizza time, later.

Today was a good day. I feel blessed. Our praise band is getting so good! For real. God is using us and he is being glorified. So that's cool. I went to the Latino Ministries corps this afternoon with Jenni also, and I played drums with them. That was fun. And having Andres translate for me! Yeah, not too much else is going on. I'm looking for a good job (again, I know) and I'm looking to play some freaking metal! I miss playing so much. The praise band is at least fun, but it's not metal. So yeah.
Blessings!
p.s. Anyone see the new YS? It's pretty cool. Also, here's some good links if you haven't already found these sites. . .

I've been reading a lot about astronomy and exobiology lately. It's just really interesting to me. I don't really think that there is life elsewhere in the galaxy though. I suppose it is possible, because the subject is not specifically addressed biblically to my knowledge. And God has created angels and a whole host of beings that are not quite understandable. He is rather creative, you know? The universe itself is fascinating. Just it's size alone staggers the mind.
Let me give you an idea. . .
A light-year is actually a measurement of distance, not time. Now if light travels at a the incredible speed of 186,282 miles per second, then the closet star other than our sun (Proxima Centauri) lies at a distance of 4.28 light-years from our solar system. That's approximately 25 trillion miles! And that's the closest! Light itself would have to travel about 100,000 years to go from one end of our galaxy to the other. The most distant known galaxy is the cluster CL1358+62. It's estimated to be some 13 billion light-years away! It really just blows my mind. How could anything be that HUGE?
When I think about all of this I am just put into a state of wonder. That the creator of all that loves me? Crazy. That the God that holds all of that in his hand knows me? Crazy!
Praise God!

Last night I had an intimate experience with God. As I fellowshipped, I was lead to pray for healing, and it took place instantly! Praise God! I spent the next half an hour or so singing and dancing alone in the dark. Man, let me just say, it was pretty sweet.
It was just another beautiful moment in a beautiful span of time. Also, let me just say, holding hands is the best. But I also enjoy hugs. And I'm not going to lie to you, I think kisses are pretty much alright.
That's all.
