Before The Throne of God Above

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
King of glory and of grace.
One in Himself I cannot die,
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high.
With Christ my Savior and my God!

I'm back. I hope you all fared well over this past month. I actually got home late on Thursday night, but I've only just gotten myself to the library. God did some pretty incredible things in my heart, life, relationships. It was a truly wonderful and memorable experience. I just learned so much more about who God is and what I myself am capable of. How intimate a relationship with Jesus can truly be. Prayer! Wow, how about it. Am I right? That stuff's pretty nice.

All in all, I am blessed. Of this I am infinitely sure. If you do ever think of me in your prayers, just ask that all the things I learned and experienced this summer will continue to take deep root in my heart. That's my prayer. God is good!

I'm moving to Indiana rather shortly to take part in a Salvation Army sponsored incarnational ministry. I'll be living in Hammond and doing all sorts of nice things. If you ever care to visit, just let me know. I'll get back to you when I get more details. This is something that God really laid on my heart this summer and I feel this is exactly where he's leading, what he's been preparing me for, and where he will continue his good works in me. Halleluiah!

In Christ,
Jonathan

p.s. I'll try and post some pictures here later, but you can check www.metroyouthnetwork.com and www.bandofsurvivors.com for lots of pictures and journals and things.
